TRE Kidney Modification
Guidance in moving through your body's shaking mechanism, focusing on the energetics + muscles that surround the kidneys, the coordinators of the mind-body system.
Our kidneys are a powerful organ of the body that supports detoxing and filtering our blood. In this TRE modification we bring the focus to the muscles that surround the kidneys, one of the muscles is the psoas, also known as the soul muscle. The psoas can play a key role in our fight/flight mechanism. A strong psoas muscle supports us in feeling grounded.
While the tremors may be moving through the muscles that support the kidneys, in this modification you are invited to tune into the energetics of the kidneys - what are you emotionally/energetically filtering?
In eastern medicine, kidneys are related to the water element and hold the attributes of:
-Trust
-Instinctual (will) power
-Support in trusting our intuition knowing when the moment is right to take action
-Wisdom
-Life force
-Sexual energy
Kidneys are also associated with fears, anxieties and worries so when we are working with healing and communicating with our kidneys we are promoting our life force and calming our fears. This is a powerful source to transmute energies as it is responsible for our overall vitality.
TRE paired with intentional kidney (lower back breathing) is a resourceful practice to support your kidneys physically and energetically. Our kidneys provide for us in so many ways being the coordinators of the mind-body system so in this TRE modification with acknowledgement and support we can practice reciprocity with these wonderful bean shaped organs!
Apart from your go to props for TRE, you will also need two tennis balls (or something similar that can press into the kidneys firm/gently.). Feel free to shake longer than is recorded in the video as the intention for these 15 minutes was to guide a modification with some words on the kidneys!
Happy Shaking!
